Crossroads at Big Creek | Kate and Kieth's 10 Year Vow Renewal
A decade later Kate and Kieth redid their wedding, and this time it was done their way. We found a spot in the woods for just the two of them, Sean (one of my best friends who was visiting from Madison) officiated the ceremony, their two dogs joined us for family portraits, and it was exactly what they wanted.
Landmark Resort | Elianna and Andrew's Wedding
I first met Elianna and Andrew for their family session back in March. Fast forward nearly seven months and they’ve exchanged falling snow for falling leaves, their youngest daughter’s carrier for walking shoes, and rings for their left hands. I’ve really enjoyed our journey together, and I look forward to watching their family continue to grow in the coming years. What will have changed the next time we meet? I’m not sure, but I’m excited to find out :)
Woodwalk Gallery | Libby and Alex's Wedding
If I’m being honest, I’ve had Libby and Alex’s wedding circled, starred, and highlighted on my calendar since I photographed their engagement session last December; I “clicked” with them as much as I have with any other couple in my career. I loved getting to know them over the last year, and watching their wedding enfold exactly how they envisioned was incredibly rewarding. Thanks for everything you two, and congratulations.
Ceremony in the Front Yard, Reception in the Back Yard | Jessica and Troy's Wedding
I loved the structure of Jessica and Troy’s wedding. They went for a “hangout” vibe with lawn games and plenty of time for catching up with friends and family. Nothing too structured, nothing too formal, nothing too stressful. They knew what they wanted, and that’s exactly what they got.
Beachfront Inn | Sara and Patrick's Relaxed Lakeside Wedding
As the ceremony was coming to an end, I had to get a good angle for the ring exchange and first kiss. Traditionally I’ll find a spot in the center aisle for these shots, but without an aisle I decided to sit in the sand right in front. The moment I was in my spot, I felt something fuzzy on my left arm.
Cave Point County Park | Blaine and Christy's Intimate International Wedding on the Bluffs
On a Tuesday evening along the shores of Lake Michigan, Blaine and Christy said “I do.” It goes without saying that weddings are special days, but what made this one really take my breath away were the lengths everyone took just to be there. Not only did Blaine’s parents make the trip from Colorado, but Christy’s family flew all the way from China; even her family’s cat, Sprite, was there in spirit.
All Over Bailey's Harbor | Kim and Mike's Door County Elopement
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a thousand times again: weddings don’t have to be extravagant to be perfect. Kim and Mike (yes, I’ve photographed three weddings in a row with grooms named Mike) didn’t want the stress, pomp, and circumstance of a traditional wedding, so they opted for a family-only elopement instead.
Ephraim Village Hall | Lindsey and Mike's Simply Perfect Door County Wedding
At 8 PM, all 33 of us walked to Wilson’s for ice cream before watching the sunset together. Lindsey and Mike wanted a simple wedding, and it was simply perfect.
