Crossroads at Big Creek | Kate and Kieth's 10 Year Vow Renewal

Kate and Kieth were married 10 years ago, but they don’t look back fondly on their photographs; not only was their wedding moved to opening day of deer season (if you’re from the Midwest you’ll understand the drama that resulted), but it also snowed and their childhood pastor was unable to officiate. They didn’t get many photographs from their day, and the ones they did were too dark and stiff. In retrospect, the day catered to everyone else’s wants while ignoring their own.

A decade later Kate and Kieth redid their wedding, and this time it was done their way. We found a spot in the woods for just the two of them, Sean (one of my best friends who was visiting from Madison) officiated the ceremony, their two dogs joined us for family portraits, and it was exactly what they wanted.
