All Over Bailey's Harbor | Kim and Mike's Door County Elopement

I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a thousand times again: weddings don’t have to be extravagant to be perfect. Kim and Mike (yes, I’ve photographed three weddings in a row with grooms named Mike) didn’t want the stress, pomp, and circumstance of a traditional wedding, so they opted for a family-only elopement instead.

They chose Anclam Park in Bailey’s Harbor for their ceremony, and if you haven’t stopped there I’d highly recommend it. Anclam Park is its own small peninsula on our large peninsula, and it has a nice path surrounded by water, several benches, and a small beach close to shore. Our ceremony was at the end of the park surrounded by the gentle waves of Lake Michigan.

After the ceremony and family pictures at Anclam Park, we road the Door County Trolley to Door County Brewing Company for a drink (and cans for later), and we finished our day with lunch at Gordon Lodge’s Top Deck Restaurant. The entire event was three hours, and it was exactly what Kim and Mike wanted :)
