Frank E. Murphy Park | Doris and John's Big Family, and a Change of Plans
My mouth dropped when I pulled up to Harbor View Park. It was Friday morning, and the city was setting up for their Farmers’ Market. The problem? We were scheduled for a large family photography session there in ten minutes. Oops.
I found Doris (the family’s matriarch). We looked at each other, at the Farmers’ Market around us, back to each other, and then let out a laugh.
“We have two options,” I told her. “We can either find a quiet corner here and make it work, or we can go to a different location. Murphy Park is just down the road, and I think it would be a perfect spot for us.”
She chose option two, so we packed up and headed out. Life happens, and we just have to roll with the tide!
Although it didn’t go according to plan, moving to Murphy Park was a pleasant surprise. In fact, I can see myself working there for many family sessions to come :) By the time we were done, I heard someone say, “wow, this is great. I’m glad we had to move!”
