Ephraim's Hardy Gallery | Claire's Senior Portraits in Her Happy Place

If Claire becomes president some day, the world will be in good hands. I had the joy of photographing Claire’s senior portraits, and you’d be hard pressed to find a more compassionate, level-headed, driven young woman. It’s Door County’s loss that she doesn’t live here, but when her mother asked where she’d like her senior portraits she answered without hesitation “Ephraim.” Ephraim, specifically the Hardy Gallery and Anderson Dock, are her happy places.

Claire plans to continue schooling and explore ways to help those who are deaf or hard of hearing live better lives. She’s one of the best signers I’ve ever met, and she even sang her favorite song in sign language during our session. She loves animals and was thrilled when we stumbled upon a tree frog in the woods, and she’s excited to grow up and get a dog of her own (she likes large breeds like Bernese Mountain Dogs and German Shepherds).
