Hi, I’m Steven
(he/him)
Photographer
I moved to Door County in 2016 to work as a kayak guide and never left!
My wife and I have planted over 200 trees and shrubs on our .5 acre property.
I love taking wilderness trips, and my travels have brought me to 40 states.
My guilty pleasure is watching animated videos of historical battles.
I believe sleeping bags are superior to sheets and blankets. I even sleep in one when I’m home!
Peanut butter makes up a quarter of my diet.
I cold plunge weekly to build resiliency and boost my mood.
Nothing tastes sweeter than defeating Cody in a hard-fought board game!
Snorkeling soothes my soul.

What the team says about Steven
"Prior to joining the Tandem team, Steven worked as a wilderness therapy guide for teens in Wisconsin + Utah as well as a program specialist at Boys and Girls Club of Door County. Today, he works in special education and is a loving father, supportive husband, and well-regarded mentor. His wealth of experience with kids helps Steven truly shine as a family photographer!
Steven has a disarming personality and can shoot the breeze with anyone. He’s imaginative with a roguish playfulness that’ll keep you engaged throughout your time together. Outside of photography, we’ve witnessed Steven expertly commit to the bit as an ornery D&D Scottish druid and a suspicious electrician at a murder mystery party. No matter what he's up to, personally or professionally, Steven understands the assignment and goes all in!"
